Here’s a run down for the month of September.

Wednesday August 31, Fellowship.
Saturday September 3. Country Breakfast. 7-10
Wednesday September 7, fellowship
Wednesday September 14, monthly communication. Dinner at 6. Meeting at 7. Brothers dress appropriately please.

Saturday September 17, spaghetti dinner. 5-7.
Wednesday September 21, Degree or fellowship.
Wednesday September 28, degree or fellowship.

Commandery members: Thursday September 2 is our monthly meeting.

Chapter and Council will meet Tuesday September 13.

I will see everyone there and in order.

Summer BBQ At Monroe Lodge 27

Hello Brothers,

Worshipful Master Charles Moutoux wanted me to send out an update and reminder about our Summer BBQ and Fireworks at Monroe Lodge 27.

The festivities start at 6pm on Sunday, July 3rd. Past emails stated a different time, but 6pm is the new time set to begin the Bar-B-Que. You can bring whatever you want to throw on the grill, but hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided. Bring some fireworks to light off with us in the parking lot. Invite your family, friends and neighbors to Monroe Lodge 27 for a great night of fun!

Monday Updates March 2nd, 2015

Hello Brothers,
With the sunshine and 20 degrees outside, today feels like spring.  If only that were true!
This week at Monroe we will have Fellowship on Wednesday, March 4th.  I’m all better and plan to be there to enjoy everyone’s company.
Saturday March 7th from 7am-10am is our Country Breakfast.  Doesn’t that sound good right about now? It does to me.

Next week Wednesday we are hosting the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation presentation at Monroe.  We will have dinner at 6pm and start the presentation at7pm.  This is an important event to attend.  There are so many programs that the MMCF has to offer and only a few are known about.  Tell a Brother to come on down with you and let’s get to know all that this great foundation has to offer.

February 25th 2015 Update

Hello Brothers!
I missed sending this out yesterday, just been so under the weather I laid around all day sleeping on and off.  I sincerely hope everyone is feeling well and staying warm.  Whatever headcold strain I picked up will not be passed on to you guys, I’m staying home tomorrow to recoup and get ready for our busier weeks ahead.
Tomorrow: Wednesday, February 25th will be Fellowship Night.  Let’s get enough guys down to lodge to have some good euchre games.  We’ve had some great ones these last few weeks, let’s keep the fun rolling.
Next week Wednesday, March 4th will be another Fellowship Night.  Saturday March 7th is our Country Breakfast from 7am – 10am.
I hope everyone is healthy and staying safe in this frigid cold that just wont let go of us this year.  It’s bad when it hit 30 degrees and everyone came outside in t-shirts.  It truly wont be long and this will all be gone and we can fire up the grill at lodge (and at home) to roast some burgers and dogs and soak up the sun.

Funeral Arrangements Katherine Walters

With a sad heart I send notice of the passing of one of our widows and mother of Worshipful Brother Mike Walters.  Katherine Walters passed away yesterday in her home.
The services will be held at Bacarella Funeral Home located at 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. Monroe, MI 48161.  Visitation is Friday February 20 from 3pm – 8pm.  Service is Saturday February 21 at 1pm.
Let’s remember our Obligation in our Brother‘s time of need.

Allen Park Cancelled

I received a phone call that the candidate was not available this evening and so Allen Park cancelled the Master Mason Degree for this evening.  No word on a rescheduled date yet.

Febuary 16th 2015 Monday Update

Hello Brothers!
If you have any vacation time, book a trip to the North Pole.  It’s been warmer there than it has been here these last few days.  For those keeping track (which I am) we are closing in on setting a record for most days colder than the North Pole this year.  Not the kind of record I enjoy, I’m tropical….I prefer the beach!
This week at Monroe Lodge we will have Temple Board Wednesday the 18th at6pm and then fellowship afterwards.  This is a great chance to get together and enjoy each other’s company.  Invite a friend down or a fellow Mason and let them enjoy an evening with the Brothers.
I know a few of Monroe’s Brothers are headed up to Allen Park Lodge to witness their Master Mason Degree on Tuesday the 17th starting at 7pm.  If you want to attend, here is the address: 17212 Ecorse Rd. Allen Park.  Some of the Brothers are riding up from the lodge at 5:15.  If you want to follow them up or car pool please be at the lodge by 5pm to make arrangements.  I am still on the 80% going side, it just depends on when my wife will be home from work.
